Bladder Control

Hello everyone,
I am new to the board and thanks for reading. I am 37 and have suffering from overactive bladder I go during the day about 10 times and at night almost every 30-1 hr! i am emotionally drained too. First it started off to 3-4 times a night , now the bladder muscle is constantly urging me to go. Called ob/gyn for vesicare and he gave to me over weekend. thank goodness. When i do go, it takes me at least 10-15 seconds to push pee out, then its barely nothing. This is crazy. I also have suffered from constipation ALL my life- but Never have had this peeing problem.
I have had 2 laproscopic surgeries, removed tubes due to severe scarring and adhesions at age 30. diagnosed with PID undiagnosed Chylmidia at 18( told it was herpes - never had herpes)
Son from first IVF attempt.
I feel like i am falling apart. I am trying to find a doc in my area and I really want a female doctor. How embarrasing it was to go into( last year) a docs office for pee problems and doc walks in , my age and cute. good grief- He just said empty your bowels. i was out of there! ha ha!
Please - can anyone help me?> i know, i am going to doc today! with or without appt.
I would like to mention one last thing. Not to proud of this one, but here it goes -- I have been using hydrocodone recreationally for about 6 years. 1-3 10mg of loratab per day, some months none. Just now every once in a while. Do you think this tappering off has anything to do with it? plus, have i damages my nerves with this usage? Could it be adhesions messing up my organs> that is what i think. I dunno........ thanks to all. really appreciate advice and, or similiar experiences. What to ask doc. etc...

I was hoping someone would have replied to you're post as you appear tohave the exact same type of problem that I have and I go every 30mins-1hr when shopping and outside otherwise possibly more in my apartment and I go several times a night and yeah it takes a fair push for anything to come out at times like when you do a bladder check at the end but I was reffered to a continence clinic a few weeks ago after complaining to my GP I had been 200 times one night and was totally like you emotionally drained and after the continence clinic my GP has reffered me to a urologist and I go on the 7th of May so will let you know if there is some solution and god help me if they can't fix this as it's took over my life and I know partners don't like it and some people think it is dirty! I have tried tablets muscle relaxants and they are useless now but was reffered to that continence clinic where the lady said it was rare at 27 to have a bladder problem and told me my bladder wasn't emptying properly but she also advised me not to take any stimulants such as coffee or redbull or anything with caffeine in it as it would trigger my bladder off! I personally think it's either a nerves problem and mine aren't working properly or I need to have my bladder augmented as I can drink a little bit before feeling and going to the toilet and alot comes out though so I think I have a small bladder but I know they can give you an implant I think to help send messages to you're bladder I think otherwise Ithink I might need an operation and this has been going on for years for me and boyfriends have dumped me or made fun of me because I have something wrong with my bladder and at times it takes over my life and I just pray to god they can fiox this problem as I have better things to do than spend all night running to the toilet and my bladder has let me down on too many occasions I have been totally embarassed! I hope this might have helped you or maybe reducing ure caffeine intake aswell would help you but I did that and it didn't so who knows? I wish you luck with getting help but would say ure GP should refer you to either a clinic or a urologist and I feel lucky I don't have to wait forever it's in May so here's hoping they can fix it or it's taken over my life which is sad but I remember I started suffering from this weak bladder problem probably when I was about 19yrs old so I didn't always have this problem. Hi There,
I have been researching the internet on bladder problems and have come across this Forum. What I would really like to suggest to you is to go see a urologist as the other reader that replied to you did as well. I go to the bathroom 20 times or more per day and nightly up to 3-4 Anyways, go to google and just call up "IC" - the name I gave you above and see if you have the symptoms they explain. I was given a cystoscopy to confirm my IC with the urologist. I go for another treatment tomorrow in hopes some change in this viscious condition I am having will soon start to change for the better.

Any new updates on your condition. I have been deaing with urinating frequently. I have been taking Detrol for a year and it hasn't controlled the frequent urination. All the info I have read said normal is 8 times per day/every 2 hrs. How many people actually go this amount except children?

What type of treatment is done for IC? I am currently trying different drugs. I'm on the second one right now. I will see my urologist on this coming Wednesday. At which time he will probably put me on another drug.
Do you take meds for IC? Or is there another type of treatment? I am at my wits end with this problem emotionally and physically.
