You are absolutely right, you are supposed to be happy when you are a child. Unfortunately, you are also left at the mercy of others when you are that young. It is hard to feel that there are so many things happening around you that you can't control, and just have to accept.
I am sure that your mom is just as unhappy as you are, and that is probably why she can't see how bad you are feeling right now. You need to find someone to talk to, perhaps there is a teacher that you feel comfortable talking to, someone's parent,grandparents, or some other adult in your life. You might even want to try and talk to your mom, but if you don't feel comfortable with that, start with someone else.

Your best friend right now is yourself, that's why you need to take care of your body, and not hurt yourself!
